Welcome to Authors N Focus, a site for aspiring writers and new authors in the publishing world. Here you will find resources for your first or next book, interviews from talented artists and a calendar to plan for your upcoming book events.

Happy new year!
Update: we regret to inform you that production has been suspended indefinitely on the television side of ANF. At some point it is our hope to revive this project, but for the present time we will continue to focus our attention on helping new and aspiring authors reach their goals.
The Resources page has been updated with two links: How one man (and his many companies) scammed wanna-be writers; and a report from the Urban Book Source in 2010 about the types of books readers want to see and don't care much about.
Starting this month, Chandra and Charles will hold writers workshops inside the African American Museum & Library at Oakland. The first workshop begins at 2:00pm on Saturday, January 21 and the third Saturday of each month after. Details and dates of the free workshops are listed in the Chatmon's Books blog.
