Linda Wattley (Daddy’s Girl) - Ms. Wattley presents Daddy’s Girl, a riveting novel which cuts to the heart of a very controversial subject: sexual abuse. Linda explains her motivation for writing the novel, the reactions from Daddy’s Girl and her future works.
Maurice Gray (To Whom Much is Given) A talented author in the Christian genre, Maurice shares his tale of faith, gifts, and success. He goes over his collaboration with fellow author Livingston N Lee, Jr about their project, I Really Didn’t Mean To Get HIV
Martha Tucker (The Mayor’s Wife Wore Sapphires) Prior to her 2007 Cush City Best New Author Award, Martha sat down for a chat going over her new novel. She goes over the tale of Indigo Tate, the young wife of a mayor who makes a crucial find and finds herself transformed at the end of the book. Martha is also the founder of the New Image Writers, a group dedicated to promote positive images in the community.
Kim Robinson (Roux in the Gumbo) - A book formed from her grandmother’s recipe, Kim’s masterpiece is more about her late grandmother and the legacy she left for her family, including her special recipes. If you’re into family and enjoy a tale where the ties that bind make us stronger, then you’ll enjoy her interview.
Bryn Colvin (On Borrowed Wings) - Bryn describes her work as ‘assorted strange fiction’In her interview she explains why she calls it that as well as her novel. A talented author in her own right, Ms. Colvin details her many plans for future books and what’s in store for her readers who follow her work.
Kelly Heckart (Of Waters and Dragons) - Come to a world where fairies exists and dragons are abound. From the author herself, Kelly goes into detail about this tale of the relationship between a Roman solder and a water-faery. She also mentions a sequel to the novel.
Nishawnda Ellis (Wives and Girlfriends) - With 5000 copies sold, this tale of lust and lies, deceit and treachery is provocative in every sense of the word. Ms. Ellis shares her ambitious story and her reaction to having so many copies sold as a self published author. She is also the founder of the Boston Book Bazaar.
Amber Whitman (Dreams of Grandeur) - an extraordinary talent, discusses her poetry, blog and tips for the new and beginning authors.
Barbara Custer (Twlight Healer) - An engaging tale of horror by a talented author
Mari Atherton (Merari) - Mari discusses her novel and The Dreamer’s Way, a science fiction tale which leads up to Merari.
Patricia Sargeant (You Belong to Me) - Patricia proudly explains her suspenseful tale of a successful woman named Nicole who is pursued by a stalker. In the interview we learn more about Nicole, her stalker and the man who comes to either save the day or wants Nicole for himself
Lexi Davis (Pretty Evil) Lexi’s tale about a centuries old sorceress and the devilish tricks she plays on her victims makes for this exciting in-depth interview.
DeWayne McCauley (Death to Diabetes) - Mr.McCulley tells the reader how to not only beat diabetes, but to keep it out of your life forever!
Marlon LeSean Sanders (The Other Man) - Marlon is a new author breaking through on the action scene. He talks about his first novel as well as other projects in the works.
The Black Pearl Controversy - in 2006, several authors under BP imprint were denied royalties from their publisher. The following authors went into detail about how each of them were affected by this action and their plans to move on future projects without Black Pearl Books. Essence best-selling author Brenda Hampton, Rahsaan Ali, Tia Hines and Tangelika Bowen were the former BPB authors who spoke with ANF and if you are a new author or planning to write a novel, be warned! These interviews are a cautionary reminder of what happens when you sign that contract. All that glitters is not gold, or in this case, profitable….for you.
